Lemon essential oil is one of my favorites. I use it for cleaning, scenting homemade body products, and in my drinking water.
Carrie of Young Living Oil Lady introduced me to the idea of add a few drops to my water. This can not be done with just any essential oil, but Young Living’s high quality makes some of their oils suitable for internal use.
I’ve been so impressed with the quality of Young Living that I signed up to purchase my own directly from the company.
I’m excited that Carrie is offering a bottle of lemon essential oil to one of you.
Did you know that lemon essential oil has antibiotic, antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties? I love that it is so powerful, yet smells so fresh and happy.
As I mention in Simple Scrubs to Make and Give, lemon essential oil is refreshing and uplifting. It helps clear mental fatigue and stimulates the mind.
It is pretty cool that I can clean the house with a homemade cleaner and have my mind refreshed at the same time, all because of a few drops if lemon essential oil.

What a great idea-a few drops in your water! The smell of lemon always adds a bit sunshine to the day-especially wonderful in the dank and dreary winter in the PNW!
I love essential oils, but haven’t tried Young Living yet.

I could so use this tip right now: “Some essential oils can act as gentle stimulants to the limbic system of the brain by their scent, increasing alertness and concentration enhancing the capacity for learning, improving memory, and assisting many other cognitive functions. A wide range of essential oils offer these benefits, such as: Lemon, Peppermint, Rosemary and Melissa. To help increase these functions simply inhale the chosen essential oil directly from the bottle or put a drop on a tissue and keep in your pocket for use throughout the day.”
I will have to bookmark this page for when I get some lemon essential oil.
Lemon is one of my favorite scents!!!
I just bought my first essential oils last week, but would LOVE to add to my collection..
I love essential oils but I’m not familiar with Young Living Oil. Is there a lime scent too?
I never thought of adding essential oil to water, though I drink lemon water all the time. Great idea.
I have been wanting to try essential oils. This sounds like a great one to start with.
Great post Stacy and I love all the comments thus far! I can’t wait to see who the winner is! Blessings! Carrie
Sounds wonderful! My first baby is due in a month, and I’ve wanted to start using some essential oils for cleaning products.
Just read the “34 uses for Lemon Essential Oil” post. I especially like the idea about mixing it with vinegar and water to clean your floors! We have tile floors throughout our WHOLE house, and I think using those natural ingredients to clean the floor will be a lot better than what we’re using now, especially once we have a little one crawling around on the floors!
I would love to win this! I’m just starting to use essential oils and would love to add Lemon to my stash. What a great idea to use it in my homemade cleaning solution!
Great giveaway!
I love using EOs, but have never tried Young Living EOs. After reading the uses for lemon EO, there are several things I would use it for – body products and cleaning, and for heartburn.
I love my lemon essential oil! I used it this morning for my daughter in some warm water with a little honey.
I just learned about Young Living the other day and wanted to get some of their oils to try.
I read the article about 34 uses for Lemon Essential Oil and found many ideas for killing germs that sound wonderful. Not to mention all the ways to enjoy the scent all together. The wart removal idea seems worth trying too.
Great comments! You will love YL oils! Go for it!!! They will change your life!
Blessings and thanks for commenting and entering to win! Carrie @ young living oil lady
Would like to try the hand sanitizing idea… Thank you for the giveaway to try this product!
would love lemon essential oil!

Love tho idea of using essential oils in my homemade cleaning products.
I’m new to the world of essential oils but I think I would love this lemon one!
From the 34 ideas, there are a lot I’d like to try. Two of the are using it in the dishwasher for spot-free dishes and using it in face cleanser to brighten your complexion.
Erin! I will ditto your uses! The facial one has astonished me! I have been using lemon, frankincense, and lavender essential oils (YL) on my face and people have been complementing my complexion! I am thrilled! It is harder for me to notice, but when others compliment it, I have to know it is because of YL essential oils! It works! Thanks for entering to win!!!

I’ve just started an new online store to sell things like this. The website isn’t up and running yet, but I’m working on it. I have been debating about what kind of oils to sell, I have a call in to Now right now. But I would love to try Young Living Oil Lady. The real upside of starting my own store is that I need to try the products before I can justify selling them,
.
Woooo, would love to try the lemon oil! Just started getting into essential oils and am amazed at all the uses for them! This would be great to have while cleaning. Put some oil on a cotton ball and throw it in the vacuum cleaner bag, while vacuuming, it will smell like lemon… Fresh and clean, LOVE it!
I have never used essential oils but would love to give them a try.
Thank you for the chance to win. Do you know if this bran is organic?
Hey Leisa! Yes, but it is more than organic! When you are looking into essential oils, you need to make sure they follow the French school. That is they can be inhaled, ingested (taken internally), applied topically to the skin ( and many applied NEAT, no dilution necessary), and connective tissue sites (vaginal, rectal, inside gum/cheek). If you are using an essential oil that does not apply to these guidelines, then they are not truly therapeutic-healing grade oils. They are more cosmetic/fragrant grade. They will smell great, and will have some benefits, but if I can’t ingest it, I don’t want to be inhaling it or rubbing it on my body.
I hope that helps! Feel free to stop on over and learn some more! Thanks for entering to win! Blessings!

I love the lemon scent also. My daughter likes to use it in her homemade shower gel. I would love to try YL lemon oil. I have heard/read so many great things about YLO!
I love the aroma of lemon
I learned a lot of different ways to use lemon oil on your list of 34. My favorite idea, though, that I can try right away would be the cotton ball in the vacuum bag. How smart is that? I have sprayed them before, but this might last longer. My other favorite idea you gave that I will definitely try when I get all the right EOs is the antibacterial spray. That would be great for quick clean ups in the kitchen, bathroom, light switches and door knobs – esp. when someone in the house has been sick and I am trying to prevent it from spreading. Thanks so much!
I would be so happy to win a bottle of young living lemon essential oil! I love the scent of lemon and could enjoy it’s fresh smell around my house.
BTW – last week I took food to a new mommy. I also wanted to give her a personal gift. I have your ebook on scrubs. I made her the coffee scrub and the peppermint foot scrub. Of course, I had to sample them myself. I love them! She was very impressed and happy to get something to pamper herself with. I will be trying more of the recipes soon. I used epsom salt, but next time I think I will try sea salt. The espsom salt dissolved rather quickly and I was really wanting to scrub on the ol’ feet!:)
The list of 34 uses for lemon essential oil was very interesting and enticing . I think my first use would be to add to my mop solution for the floors. What a wonderful scent that would give to the house!
I have tried a few living oils and so far they have been wonderful-i have never tried the lemon and would like to

Am I the only green blogger who doesn’t use essential oils??? Fix this for me, Stacy!
You can do it Rebekah! To talk about them is one thing, but to “use” them is another. I had no interest in them until I smelled and applied them… then I knew!!! If you love herbs, you will love YL essential oils… the healing properties surpass the herbs, due to the frequency and potency of the oil.. the life blood of the plant. If you ever have any questions, I’d be honored to help! Stacy is amazing and I know she can assist you!
Blessings!
I would try using the oil in the dishwasher. I’ve been using white vinegar as a rinse aid, but I wonder if this would work better.
