My friend, Rebekah is hosting a fun link up in which people are sharing frugal home decor ideas in pictures.
Even though I am not the best decorator, I thought it would be nice to show you a few frugal decorative things from around my home.
Many of these were made by my mother-in-law who lived here before me. I’m so thankful we have very similar taste!
Here are a few items that I enjoy and that cost very little:
I think these curtains may even be made from sheets. They hide my washer and dryer. I love the mixture of colors on the leaves.
Art work from my children
I try to display as much of this as possible.
It makes me happy.
I love jars and I love food. So, displaying both is natural for me. It’s convenient and I like the homey look.
Oh, and isn’t that bowl awesome?! My mother-in-law made it.
Post card or artwork in frames
I really loves these art prints, but couldn’t afford to buy one. I popped a small post card print in a frame and am happy that I can still get the feeling I enjoy from the work, without the price. Of course, I would prefer the actual artwork, but this is better than nothing.
I made this a awhile ago and shared the instructions in a tutorial at Simple Homemade. I love the rustic look and the fact that it cost barely anything is a bonus. It is made from an old can, paper, hot glue and twigs.
What type of frugal decor do you have in your home?
