Green Cleaning Tips for Beginners

natural living for beginners- green cleaning tips

Green cleaning is an important part of natural living.

When we use chemical cleaning products, we introduce more toxins into our homes, which eventually end up in the body (and rather quickly actually. Some sources say it only tales 26 seconds for these chemicals to be found in every organ of the body after use.)

On today’s periscope episode, I shared a few tips on cleaning naturally. The links and information below are tips and tricks I mentioned in the show or ones I wanted to share.

I’ll be back with a new scope tomorrow that will tell you how to get my green cleaning ebook free. Plus, I’ll demonstrate how to make a quick DIY all-purpose cleaning spray.

Watch the scope here; note that it expires after 24 hours; after that, you can see it here.

  1. Great points! This is very insightful post and working as eye openers for the online learners. Keep sharing

  2. Home maintenance and cleaning takes effort on behalf of the homeowner if they do not employ a cleaning service. There are many items on the market that can be found in any convenience store or supermarket for cleaning windows. However, window cleaning can be a tough job, especially when trying to avoid streaks. Here are some tips to avoiding streaky windows to keep the panes in pristine condition.

First, the most important step is to find a soft cloth for the wipe down process. Never use paper towels, hand towels, and hard rags because not only will they promote streaky windows, over time they can scratch the panes of glass which will cause windows to need replacing much faster. ShamWoW towels and other soft material hand cloths are the best tools to employ when cleaning a window.

The next items all revolve around the substance used to clean the windows. These items are not bought but rather are home concoctions that work best. Don’t waste money on expensive cleaning products when great homemade remedies can do the job cheaper and better. Two of these concoctions are cornstarch based cleaner and an apple cider based mix.

There are a few ingredient that person needs to make the first homemade window cleaner. They will need about two hundred grams of cornstarch in a bucket and add five liters of warm water to the mix. No soap or other ingredients are required. When these two ingredients mix combined with the heat from the water, a concoction is made that allows windows to be cleaned without streaks.

The next type cleaner is a vinegar based mixture which is made from ethanol, vinegar, and apple cider. Each one must be mixed proportional to size of the job required. This is another kind of homemade remedy of cleaning products that do not produce streaks on the window. However, when mixing these components, be careful because the smell of ethanol and vinegar can be a bit overwhelming.

While there are a wide variety of cleaners and window care products on the market, don’t be sucked into buying them because a person can make their own efficient cleaning products at home. Get a soft rag and make the anti-streaking mixtures right in the comfort of the home kitchen. Window cleaning has been made easier than ever with these home remedy tips that will save you money and make sure that your windows are streak free.
