I’m at Intentional Homemaker today, talking a little about my recent feelings of burn out and the need for rest.
Here is a snippet:
The first time I planned a real schedule, I filled up the time slots with needful things and sat back to dream about how nice my life would be once I followed the chart I had created.
Things were going to be great.
My house would run smoothly and my husband and children would all be happier because if it.
My bubble quickly burst the following day when I attempted to implement said schedule. I couldn’t keep up. I was exhausted and felt like a failure.
As I flopped on my bed, feeling completely defeated, I quickly realized my mistake: I had not taken into account my need for rest.
