Frugal and Homemade Mother’s Day gifts

Today I’m sharing some frugal and homemade Mother’s Day gift ideas at Keeper of the Home, including more handmade body care recipes (Do you think I’m obsessed with these?).

Visit the post to find out how to make:

Relaxing and Therapeutic Bath Salts (pictured here with a bath bag);

And some super easy sugar scrub:

When I say this stuff is easy to make, I really mean it.  Less than 10 minutes to make easy.

Find out how.

Do you make anything like this? What are your frugal Mother’s Day gift ideas?

Handmade Mother’s Day link-up will be up tonight! I’m excited!

  1. I LOVE how you’ve labeled these, but I really want to know the secret behind getting the lids to look so very pretty.

    (Yes, I am planning on utilizing your decorating ideas. Like how I used the word “utilizing” instead of “stealing?” Haha.)

    Wonderful stuff!

  2. Hi Leslie,

    I decoupaged the lid in the top picture after I saw it in this tutorial:
    Paper Scrap Recycling @ Design* Sponge.

    I like the look, but want to keep experimenting. It worked out fine for the one pictured, but another lid I decorated was hard to fit back onto the jar. I think I may have used paper that was too thick. Anyway, just saying it might be a good idea to try it out when you’re not needing to give someone a gift that day 🙂 Just in case!
